 Marilyn Alverio
Marilyn Alverio Founder & CEO, Latinas & Power Corp.
Having grown up in an urban neighborhood Marilyn learned early on about the impact of giving back to the community, volunteerism and paying it forward. Her parents migrated to Connecticut from Puerto Rico and instilled the importance of “la Familia,” tradition, culture, our language and being involved in “La Communidad.” Today, Marilyn is an orgullosa bilingual and bi-cultural contributing member of the community. She earned her B.A from the University of CT. in Storrs, CT and later an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix.

Rebecca Melley is the program Manager for the Latinas in Leadership Institute. For three years she has worked with Latinas & Power Corp. contributing to our lunch & Learns series, social media content creation, event coordination, community outreach, and relationship management. Specializing in diversity, equity, and inclusion, Rebecca uses that experience and passion to elevate our Latina Community. She is a proud mother of one , a University of Connecticut alum, an avid traveler.
 Giselle Roldan
Giselle Roldan Executive Assistant to the Founder and CEO & Special Projects
Giselle Roldan is the Executive Assistant to the Founder and CEO of Latinas and Power. She is an authentic, skilled, and dedicated professional with over 15 years of experience working in diverse nonprofit organizations. She is well known for her resourcefulness, positive attitude and calm demeanor. Giselle has three children who keep her on her toes. When she’s not driving them to and from practices, she enjoys listening to personal and professional development audio books, music, exercising, cooking and spending quality time with her loved ones.

She delivers keynote addresses and presentations drawing upon her experience from roles in the non-profit, private, and government sectors, as well as her doctoral research.
